Reading Between the Lines is a group show of Canberran contemporary artists whose practices deconstruct texture and form. Through distortion and the abstraction of form and texture, these works challenge our understandings of intimate and domestic spaces by reinterpreting our interactions with the world around us. This exhibition explores how exchanges with texture and form create various visceral emotions and bodily responses. By unpacking the everyday experience, these works are a survey of the body and self, sexual exploration as well as isolation through the female gaze.
